October 12, 2024·Banadir Regional Administration
In 2022, the Institute of Public Finance (IPF) conducted a comprehensive SMART Public Financial Management (PFM) Assessment for the Banadir Region Administration, focusing particularly on the Deputy Governor’s Office for Admin and Finance. The primary objective was to evaluate the existing Public Financial Management (PFM) practices, with a focus on improving transparency, accountability, and financial control mechanisms.
During the assessment, IPF identified key areas where financial processes could be streamlined to reduce inefficiencies and strengthen financial oversight. Recommendations were made to improve the internal controls, ensure timely financial reporting, and enhance budget management systems. These improvements aim to promote sustainable financial management practices that align with international standards. This project plays a critical role in bolstering governance structures within the region, ensuring that public resources are used effectively and transparently to support the region’s development.
