The development of robust Public Financial Management (PFM) Policies is a key ongoing initiative undertaken by IPF in collaboration with the Banadir Regional Administration. The goal of this project, initiated in 2023, is to review and update the existing PFM frameworks, ensuring they align with international best practices and are tailored to the specific needs of the region.

As part of this initiative, IPF is working to create policies that will enhance transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline across all levels of government. These policies will serve as the foundation for a more coherent and standardized approach to financial management, from budgeting and accounting to procurement and reporting. By implementing these revised PFM policies, Banadir Region aims to improve its governance structures and create a more stable, transparent, and accountable public financial system.
