In 2023, IPF undertook a detailed Employee Capacity Assessment for the Banadir Regional Administration (BRA), aimed at analyzing the skills, competencies, and capacity gaps among BRA employees. The assessment was focused on understanding the professional development needs of the employees, particularly in key areas such as digital literacy, financial management, and public service delivery.

The findings of this assessment revealed several areas where capacity-building initiatives could significantly enhance the performance and efficiency of BRA’s workforce. As a result, IPF recommended a tailored training program designed to improve core competencies and bridge knowledge gaps. This training initiative focuses on equipping employees with the skills necessary to effectively manage public resources, utilize digital tools for service delivery, and implement best practices in governance. The long-term goal of this project is to create a more efficient, transparent, and responsive administrative workforce in the Banadir Region.
